A Farewell with Respect and Gratitude
After more than ten years of loyal service, we are saying goodbye to a very special colleague—our dual-arm robot—as he retires. From his very first day, he has been a reliable partner in laboratory automation, always precise, tireless, and never complaining. Day after day, he has pipetted samples, dispensed liquids, and helped us take research and analytics to the next level.
He was more than just a machine; he was a true member of our team. With his two skillful arms, he demonstrated how seamlessly humans and robots can collaborate. He stood as a symbol of innovation, of transformation in the lab environment, and of the vast possibilities automation has to offer.
But even the most capable technology has its limits. After countless motion cycles, pipetting tasks, and successful experiments, we are now granting him a well-deserved retirement. His place in the lab may be empty, but his impact will remain—whether in the memories of challenges we overcame together or as an inspiration for the next generation of lab automation.
We say thank you for many years of dedicated service. Who knows, maybe a new task will arise for him in the future—or at least a place of honor where we can always remember the outstanding work he has done.
And in fact, he won’t be completely gone—in the future, he will be welcoming our guests at the Center for Life Science Automation.
Take care, old friend! 🚀🤖
