Retiring our long-serving automation system for sample preparation
After many years of reliable service, it is time to say goodbye to one of the steadfast workhorses in our lab: our automation system for sample preparation in ICP/MS analysis is being retired and replaced with a next-generation solution.
Over the years, this system has played a vital role in our laboratory workflows – consistent, precise, and remarkably dependable. It supported the automated preparation of thousands of samples from a wide range of applications, spanning both environmental and medical fields. From the determination of mercury in reclaimed wood, to the analysis of heavy metals in dust, and even the elemental characterization of stent encrustations or the detection of toxic elements in organs and tissues – this system proved itself across the board.
Especially in high-throughput contexts where reproducibility and precision were essential, the system demonstrated its strengths. It was more than just a piece of equipment – it became part of the team, integrated into our processes, familiar with our requirements, and always ready to deliver high-quality results, even under heavy workloads.
With a touch of nostalgia and a great deal of anticipation for what the future holds, we now say: thank you for many years of dedicated service! The transition to a new system opens exciting possibilities for the continued advancement of automation and analytical workflows.
