We are hiring a Research Associate / PhD Candidate (m/f/d)!
Join our team and contribute to cutting-edge work in biomarker analytics and metabolomics – with a clear path toward earning your PhD. You will develop modern, partially automated high-throughput analytical methods and shape research projects from initial concept to third-party funding proposals.
What you will do:

Conduct research in biomarker and metabolite analysis
-
Develop and validate high-throughput analytical workflows (HPLC, GC, MS, ICP-MS, spectroscopy, etc.)
-
Conceptualize research ideas and prepare grant proposals (BMBF, AiF, DFG, foundations)
-
Teach 4 SWS of research-oriented courses in process measurement technology
-
Design, supervise, and assess scientific examinations
-
Contribute to academic organization (study coordination, committee work)

Organize and run scientific events
-
Publish your research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
What you bring:

A completed Master’s or Diploma degree in electrical engineering, information technology, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, or a related field

Strong knowledge of analytical measurement techniques (HPLC, GC, MS, ICP-MS/OES, optical spectroscopy, etc.)

Hands-on experience in analytical instrumentation

Interest in interdisciplinary research, measurement technology, and automation

Solid English skills; basic German skills or willingness to acquire them

Motivation and commitment to pursue independent scientific qualification (PhD)

Strong communication skills, teamwork abilities, and reliable, structured work habits
